Skincare Specifically for Men

When it comes to skincare, men generally have kept it pretty simple. However, men now more than ever are pursuing healthier, younger skin. 

Here are three simple steps men typically skimp on that you can begin integrating into your daily routine:

  1. Cleanse your face: There’s no need to wash too frequently – you want to maintain your skin’s natural oils. However, you don’t want dirt and pollutants building up on your skin or blocking your pores. Use a mild cleanser to wash daily, morning and night, and consider alternating with an exfoliating cleanser.
  2. Use a Serum: Incorporate an antioxidant serum, like Vitamin C, to help reduce damage from UV rays and pollution. Apply after you shave and before you moisturize. 
  3. Moisturize/Protect: Following your serum, apply a moisturizer that has at least SPF 30 every morning. Keep in mind – sunscreen is not just for days at the beach or when playing sports. Short walks and even sun exposure in your car can add up over-time and cause skin damage and premature aging. In the evening, use a moisturizer without SPF.
